I know this isn't the point but your wording triggered the teacher response, and now I'm bugged What you're describing is the median, but as for the average, have we got more than 50% of men taller than the average, or less? 🤔🤔

I'd say the average is smaller than the median, because there are probably more small outliers than tall outliers Thus there must be fewer than 50% of men that are smaller than the average ☝️🤓

Also, shout out to the outliers, who despite their statistical insignificance, exist in this world. (Example: public transit for folks in the top/bottom percentiles.)
