Zelenskyy: It's a pity that we are losing a strong partner (..) but not because of us. We can’t be weak. Otherwise, we can’t survive… This is why it’s painful when Trump chooses to be on Russia’s side. This is not the right side of history.

I say Ukraine should continue to target but on a preprogrammed flight plan. If civilian infrastructure is hit they can say to the international community “this is what happens when our communications are taken from us. But we cannot stop defending ourselves.”

He stated plainly that the betrayal targets every ally who believed US backing was a lasting commitment, not Ukraine alone. Trump picked Moscow. History keeps the receipts.

A lunatic sits at the top of the world and threatens all beneath him. Everyone is beneath him. He's ignorant and insane. No country will oppose Trump's betrayal of Zelenskyy and western democracies. He will retaliate and he's capable of any attack. A rock and a hard place.

Nah, the USA was always a distrustful ally, always ready to betray on the first try. Albeit right now, it is more cynical and doesn't pretend to hide it anymore.

The reputation of the US was never sterling, but at least it was stable enough to maintain good relationships with most countries. We'll be dealing with the political, social, and economic fallout of this for generations. Trump destroyed decades of good will for a little more cash in his pocket.

Arguments about the future will never work in somebody that is basically a few gasps away from being in the other side of life. He has never cared about anybody else, so that argument is also moot.
