I've had someone unironically argue that it's actually good if all these jobs are lost to AI because it's actually better when people make things as a hobby instead of "selling out"

it puts me in a weird position making pro-capitalist arguments to people who are generally further to the right of me like, there's actually a lot of success stories of people making a living doing their craft, isn't that like, a good thing, that it's possible? work hard, get opportunities etc.?
