I only watched the free intro of this interview since I stopped paying for Sam Harris's podcast years ago, and that was after many years doing so because SH was the one pundit that I agreed with 90% but it's been downhill since he started mutating into the new Bill Maher: a 🧵

I have observed many times that it's rare the year Sam Harris doesn't shed some ex-ally that turns out a fascist or worse: people like Dave Rubin, Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, the Weinstein bros, Maajid Nawaz... the man has broken picker that's truly comical.

I predicted Ben Shapiro was next but I'm not right yet. Or I didn't get Harris was never a true liberal. Always too friendly with the "well-behaved Right", still dreams with a Romney presidency. Also with the rich like Elon or famous like Rogan; he likes to be in that jet-set.

Why is Shapiro back to SH's pod after a long absence (AFAIK)? Well the MAGA ship is sinking–again. Rats like Candace, Tucker, Megyn, even Alex Jones are fleeing. Seeking bleach for their reputation. Here comes Sam Maher normalizing those people for his center-liberal audience.

We have the country's premier Trump Hater throwing lifeboats to ex-MAGAs. "I voted for conservative policies, woke commies would be worse etc". Picture: ex-MAGA influencer searching his favorite article of the US Constitution. Something about free speech or women's sports...

Tbf Ben Shapiro may be the rare sincere exception. This guy would 100% vote for literal Adolf Hitler reincarnated if he upheld his policies on abortion, taxes, Israel, DEI; and the alternative was a "Woke Democrat" like Kamala. I don't Godwin-Law it cavalierly, he TOTALLY would.
