You’ll be able to deselect articles during the import quickly, so you can definitely pause for now and handle the rest in one go!

backdating is the main goal (so yes), but you can choose between publishing at once, and importing everything as a draft to publish yourself. original dates are saved so once you go to publish a draft you don’t have to fiddle with the date unless you want to modify it.
