First read book of the year! 📚 Out of The Silent Planet by C. S. Lewis Having only read Narnia before, it was interesting to read something Lewis wrote of a different genre & for an adult audience. Beautiful prose, unsurprisingly, and definitely plan to check out the other two books in the series.

Late to the party on your book thread but I had a similar response to out of the silent planet, then tried the second one (perelandra) and it's basically a man explaining things to a woman - that most inscrutible and confounding of creatures - for 200+ pages lol. I couldn't get through it.

You can see what they were going for but it would've had to be written by like... Ursula k leguin for it to have worked.

I definitely wanna give it a shot still, but we’ll see how far I get
