has anyone been playing Castlevania: Belmont's Curse on Switch2 (handheld)? 🤔 been hearing murmurs about performance issues, so wanted to hear from people before I commit to a version 🦇

ive heard a lot of the same murmurs but i think i've also heard there's been some day one patches that might've been helping? may be worth booting up the demo to at least test (the save transfers to the full version)

The game did crash on me twice when I opened the map. But, I was playing docked. Also, I heard that if played on Switch 2 that it would run at 60FPS, but that just isn't true.

Correction: My TV had a software update that reset all the settings, again. Playing in handheld shows that it does play at 60FPS, and fixing the settings on my TV reflects that now. I hate smart TVs, I swear. -.-

While I can’t speak for the performance, there actually isn’t a Switch 2 version, so you’ll be playing a Switch 1 game which has noticeably pretty low graphics quality compared to the other platforms.

The Switch 2 demo version for some reason looks particularly worse than the final release. If you turn on handheld boost mode on Switch 2 it looks just as good as it does docked. Nothing wrong with the Switch version, but a Switch 2 version would be nice.

Yeah my experience has been the same. Looks great on the screen in handheld, a bit rough docked, solid 60fps either way.

I've been hearing about performance issues on pretty much every platform... I think I'll wait a month or two before getting this one... And I was really looking forward to it, too. :/

Apparently all versions are rough, I am playing on Steam and I was recommended a temporary fix: Lower the game to 60fps Start your game Crank up the fps to your liking DON'T turnoff Vsync and close the game, it may not come back.
