I have read a lot. I've never read the Gospels. Like most people, I know a lot of stories, the Beatitudes etc. The Jesus the Pope is representing conforms with my idea of what's in the Gospels. I am going to have to read them, to try to understand the Evangelical Jesus. Right now, I don't.

One could start with the Sermon on the Mount and wonder what Trump and Hegseth have to do with that Jesus
