Wait, Nvidia, whose business relies on selling GPUs to the frontier labs, is developing its own model for public use? How are they going to make any money on that?

If those models are optimised for inference speed on Nvidia hardware, then there’s potentialmoney in there for them.

Maybe they want to hedge their bets. Looking at isaiprofitable.com makes it appear that OpenAI and Anthropic can only account for a minor part of Nvidia’s AI revenue.
