i am singing in an unstaged version of a brand new locally written opera this afternoon at the local arts & culture center. sometimes small town life rocks for artists. it's SO hard for a young composer to get a reading of a full orchestral/choral work; here we're just DOING it.

the opera workshop is for a show called "Black Rock." It features a music by Spencer Edgers, lately of Juneau (and now in LA), plus libretto by my friend Tripp Crouse, a wonderful poet.
