Coturnix Quail chicks Edam, Jarlsberg and Raclette at two hours old vs just over one week. (We are all very upset that little Cheddar didn't make it, despite our best efforts). Growing at a frankly alarming rate.

We hatched these as the current flock is now down to Marzipan (RIP Honeycomb, Peppermint, Nougat, and Taffy) and she's a bit lonely.

I enjoyed having quails. I deflocked with the expectation of bird flu being an issue. Our one remaining unnamed Lonely Boy was sent to live on a farm in the country (literal). He enjoy a few months with their female quails before he mysteriously disappeared.

The plan is for them to live long* and full lives! * they actually only live a couple of years, sadly, which is why we’re replenishing the flock
