For the year I turned three, my family lived in Japan. I have a large box of my parents' (antique!) color slides and we just found (with help) an archive in Tokyo that would like them. 3rd slide is Kodachrome, colors stayed rich. Other brands faded badly, need much Photoshopping to fix colors.

Thanks, Debbie! They go back a little farther than my memory does. We have one family friend, daughter of a close friend my mother made there, and she was so happy to see color photos of her young mother. Apparently there was very little color photography in Japan yet as of 1955/6.
