Thanks for writing this! The boundaries for economic rights(drill/fish) are kind of fascinating, based on depth and continental shelf and not a strict distance from shore. Greenland's NE shelf is huge & if the AMOC collapses, which scientists say is happening, plus shifting of the earth's poles, 🤷

Do you think controlling a northwest passageway is also a consideration? Anyone who can navigate those waters is allowed to, so whomever can break the winter ice (assuming summer ice isn't going to be much issue) can cross from Asia>Europe there, and China prefers that over Suez route?

Of course this goes against his stated belief that climate change doesnt exist (and shutting down NCAR in CO for climate alarmism) but its certainly possible. Of course the other issue is what happens to everywhere else when Greenland melts?
