This is such a bizarre ritual.

I stood around in wildfire smoke and sun-surface temperatures to watch a group of Union reenactors fake fire a cannon at Antietam. Solid 10.

Just replace the musket with an AR-15, the horse with a Hilux technical, and add a drone and you're pretty much at a revolutionary war for today.

Went to one in NJ just last weekend. Even the Hessians showed up.

Lots of them in the old Civil War Battlefields near DC. I never had time to attend one. Weekends were when I rested from a grueling job.

Maybe it’s an ideal time to attend one!
