I love @fly.io and want them to succeed, but their continued unreliability forces me to consider alternative hosting solutions. I’m looking into Kamal and Digital Ocean. Any other recommendations?

I’m using virtual machines running Linux on Digital Ocean and deploy using Elixir releases. Works really well and pretty straightforward to setup.

I’ll write a blog post about it. It’s a bit long to explain in a bluesky post ;)
