When there’s a fuel shortage they tell you to turn down your radiators and boilers. Those with cash don’t. People in poverty have no choice and leave them low forever. Prolonged underheating causes mold and awful health complications. Being able to turn it back up is not a mistake IT’S THE POINT.

Hoo boy, the scrooges at the Daily Telegraph are now railing against <checks notes> people in poverty being able to heat their homes properly after they get insulation? It says the govt is "sitting on evidence" in a report commissioned and published by…the govt 🤡🤡🤡

This is why climate justice and social justice as the same thing. Energy bills breaking you? What if we gave you insulation so you didn’t need as much fuel to safely heat your home, and/or cleaner cheaper energy too. Saves us money (importing less gas), saves the NHS money, buildings last longer.

Aerating your house, ie opening windows, isn't done as often as it used to be in my grandparents' day. Increased amounts of soft furnishings incl carpets = increased moisture retention in accommodation, again not so common in grandparents' day...their houses were cold, but not damp/mouldy.
