Can anyone recommend an image hosting service with resizing etc? Typically would use Cloudflare Images but the freaking LaLiga situation sucks and a big chunk of users are in Spain. Tried Bunny Optimizer but a) pricing is per zone and b) reliability and performance are not great either.

I've been pretty happy with Cloudinary

Are you specifically looking for a hosted service, or just *an* alternative for a place for users to dump and manage images?

I'm building a place for "users to dump and manage images" :) So yeah a CDN+hosting+resizing service.

Ah, gotcha. I was going to suggest taking a look at the "Awesome Self-Hosted" list (github.com/awesome-self...) and standing something up on a Hetzner (multiple EU options) VPC, but that's definitely gonna involve a lot more wiring work than an existing platform.

Hey @pierbover.com, would you mind sharing a bit more about what bothered you with Optimizer? We’d really appreciate the feedback.

Probably 1-2% of images never loaded or took like 30 seconds to load. I'm in Mexico so maybe the issue is only in the node here? I see images not loading all the time here in Bluesky too. Also, $9.50 per zone is quite excessive honestly.

Thanks for sharing! We understand the per-zone pricing may not be a fit for your use case, but we’d still like to dig into the loading issue you saw. If you can DM us an affected URL, we’d be happy to take a look.
