ALSO reminder that my friend Sara's party last night was themed as always, the theme was 'cult leaders' (or cults generally I think?) and I went as Sathya Sai Baba, which meant I had the Wikipedia page pulled up on my phone to show people all night, but it was worth it

Jesus also came over and judged me a whole bunch for being a fraud and doing fake miracles like materializing gold etc which I think was very unfair

We also had a cultist from Midsommar (in an INCREDIBLY good costume), a handmaid from The Handmaid's Tale, a Tupperware saleswoman cultist, a bunch of 'regular' culty people (daggers, grimoires, daggers, robes), some people affiliated with Lord Summerisle, some MAGATs, a few --

-- excellent old-styley cultists with animal horns and fake furry heads etc, two people who came as 'cult cinema' (we had Dr. Frank-n-furter!), and probably some people who showed up after I left! Great party, no notes, although I did not make any followers. :(

AS I WAS LEAVING it occurred to me I could have gone as an HPL-styley cultist (maybe a fishperson?) but too late, oh well, and she never repeats themes 😂

Dr. Frank-n-furter staggered over at one point and was like "I'M A LADY!" (he was not a lady fyi) and added "BUT YOU'RE NOT A MAN!" and I told him to ask Sara what I had come as previously: - Prince (dead celebrities) - Jareth the Goblin King (Hollywood) - Caligula (heroes + villains) (cont'd)

- Edgar Allan Poe (literary types) - Jack plus beanstalk (fairy tales) - Robert Smith from the Cure (music and musicians) I NEVER GO AS A GIRL AS YOU WERE

ALSO I just remembered, we had one person I didn't recognize and she was like "Oh I'm Elizabeth Holmes" and the MOMENT she said it I was like OH MY GOD I AM NOT SMART She looked UNCANNILY LIKE THE POSTER and also kept going around giving people the @__@ to get followers, it was great
