Rachel Madow said the facility approval was denied for Social Circle GA. The town has a stated population of 5000. A facility for 8500-10000 detainees is double the town’s population. The town does not have water and sewage capacity to support that number of detainees.

Yesterday, Sen. Mike Collins confirmed to City of Social Circle that the site is in escrow and moving forward for sale to ICE. The county assessor and deed of records information has not updated, but this follows the pattern of other sales in other states. Source: www.facebook.com/cityofsocial...
