I loved my RX1R II, but the landscape is so different now. My daily driver, the a7CR, is actually quite compact.

I guess it depends how much you want to swap lenses. I'm at peace with a fixed lens now in return for the smaller size. But the modest viewfinder res and non-tilting screen are gotchas for a camera of this class... I've popped some thoughts at www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSFN...

Great overview as always! I like the new EVF and grip, and the crop/zoom mode. I too will miss the tilting screen. Really wish I’d held onto the lens hood from my II, although I assume there will be third-party clones.

Thanks! Yep, I assume small rig and others will come to the rescue with affordable accessories. Removing the tilting screen is an odd decision, even if you’re striving for the smallest body…
