ProPublica’s analysis of CDC data found that the rate of deaths involving ectopic pregnancies has nearly doubled. The spike alarmed many experts. One said it should “be a never event.”

Back in the day, my wife came up with one of those, we went to the doctor and they sent her immediately to the hospital for removal, no question. Now we have to negotiate it while the woman runs the risk of dying? Who turned these Republicans into doctors?

You lack the moral authority to assign Shame Homework. And telling people to 'shut the fuck up' only illustrates your helpless delusions of effectiveness. Curious--if *you* are immune to embarrassment on command, why do you imagine you can wave your magic wand and cause it to spring up elsewhere?

This was all clear to anyone who didn't use their brain case for a colon when they voted. It's what they wanted, the intended result. It is tangible evidence that old white men have recovered their rightful power and restored privacy to its just place as a privilege of power rather than a right.

I’m guessing because healthcare is becoming harder and harder to access: between financially impossible (Medicaid cuts, ACA getting gutter) and physically impossible (private equity is buying up medical systems and hospitals and there are fewer and fewer places you can get maternity care).

Now back to the idiots (including lawmakers) who think an ectopic fetus can be moved to the uterus or born from outside the uterus (both of which are medically impossible). Therefore a woman can die from sepsis waiting to see if Christian God will intervene...

And we do not talk openly about these things because it can be traumatic, terrifying and is very very personal. Like we do not talk about miscarriage. A cause has misrepresented the actual use of abortion - it isn't about choosing, its about surviving

It’s not like you can choose to have an ectopic pregnancy or a miscarriage, and both are medical emergencies carrying a real risk of mortality. It is malpractice not to treat them promptly. And doctors afraid of political consequences should be prosecuted. Those making the laws should also.

Republicans are killing American women with their laws. It would be nice if someone from the press asked Alito, Thomas, or Trump & Republican Congress and Senate about this, but as usual the MSM will look the other way; if it were the Dem President or policy, it would be a #1 question.

B/C THEY DON'T CARE @ WOMEN. Women are merely things to fuck, control, and be vessels for babies. Babies who, of course, only matter when they're INSIDE the vessel. Once they leave the vessel, unless they're white, male, Christian & from a family of means, let them starve! Let them die of measles!

My mother had an ectopic pregnancy in 1951. They removed her fallopian tube, saving her life. Abortion was illegal then, but no one considered saving her life an abortion. These people are such idiots and I truly wish that doctors in these draconian states would stand up for the women and save them

The obvious question you ignore is the possibility of more ectopic pregnancies in "ban states". Deaths went up in "non-ban" states as well. What are the comparative rates of deaths per ectopic prenancies, not per total live births? Your analysis is meaningless.

Every single family of a woman who died from an ectopic pregnancy and was refused an abortion should sue the hospital and the State for passing this unnecessary law.
