First dose of my ADHD meds in a week thanks to another prescription getting lost in the post, and as soon as they kicked in I fell asleep. Brains are weird, man.

What the heck is wrong with your health system that there's always some kind of mistake or delay, are you just that unlucky or that's the average experience there? Anyway, I'm glad it got resolved but sucks that you have to deal with a week of symptoms

Long story, but Northern Ireland doesn't have an adult ADHD service, at all. I had to go private and my clinic is in London. They send my prescriptions to me to collect at a local pharmacy and our mail service has messed it up repeatedly but I don't have many other options. 😬

I'm currently trying to find a GP who will take on what's called Shared Care here, which would mean my GP would prescribe the meds. Would save me money and prevent this issue, but they're not required to accept and my current GP refused because they don't want the additional cost/admin. It sucks.

On the other side of things, I missed mine for 4 days but finally got them. I take them between 7-8AM and now I can't fall asleep until midnight or 1AM. 😂😂 Brains ARE weird.

It's wild how differently it can affect people too! My sleep was all over the place while I was off them. Out of curiosity, are yours slow release or instant? I take slow release (Elvanse, I think it's Vyvanse there?) and part of it for me is how much it calms my anxiety, I think!

Yup, Vyvanse! Certainly helps with my anxiety, too. It helps me keep up with tasks and I feel, for lack of a better word, "normal" in social situations now. That helps build that confidence I've lacked in those situations and thus really helps with anxiety.
