I want to see a roguelike game based on Dungeon Crawler Carl. Procedurally generated floors following the basic themes of Earth's crawl and perhaps DLCs for other crawls. And a lot of the other stuff that would be spoilers if I listed it out here. IYKYK How sick would that be?!

I finished the main campaign of #StarWarsGalaticRacer and I can honestly say it's the most fun I've had in a racing game in a long time. What stood out to me was the sense of progression and success even if you're not winning every race which I've felt was required in most racing games. (1/6)

Last, the podracing. Wow. What a fan service. I wasn't expecting this and when the recreation of the N64's Racer loaded in, I couldn't stop giggling with excitement. The wave of nostalgia was overwhelming. And the podracing itself felt so well implemented. It felt intuitive to fly! (5/6)

The rougelite progression encourages players to try new play styles or to continue with what they enjoy and permanently upgrade those play styles. However, I do find the tours to sometimes be a little *too* long especially when failing and having to re-complete them to progress the main story. (3/6)

I played on max graphic settings on my 77" OLED at 4K 120hz with PS5 controller. The game is absolutely beautiful, especially Crait. It's very well optimized and was smooth all the way through. The OST and audio were truly ear candy on my 7.1 Atmos system. The music is still stuck in my head. (4/6)

Each vehicle has its own purpose. Between vehicle and racer style, each tour can be uniquely chaotic or carefully curated to a specific play style. The default difficulty provides a believable difficulty that doesn't leave you leading the races in 1st place a majority of the time. (2/6)

The checkered flag sheets, the Jeff Gordan wallpaper, the Sonic pajamas, and the cat. Peak tot childhood right here. Might be posting more old photos while I archive my family's film photos and digitize them at my local library.

My brain simply can't fathom why a physical copy of a book is cheaper than the kindle version more often than not. Good thing I love physical media!

The ITSM software we use at work has been enshitified with AI. We have to wait 20-30 seconds after opening the ticket for AI to analyze it before we can make notes or review data. We also have to wait 20-30 seconds for AI to generate a resolution note before closing it. So much time wasted.

On my drive home from Delaware today, I stopped at this #Ionna rechargery in Columbus, OH. This is the coolest charging station I've found! Longe access is granted after charging begins.

I do believe I'm covered for a bit.

I recently learned that I really enjoy reading. In the last few weeks I've read Project Hail Mary and We Are Legion (We Are Bob). Upgraded to the hardcover version of PHM and got the rest of the Bobiverse books today. Anyone have any other Sci-Fi book recommendations?

I would be very cautious about this "sponsorship platform" called SocialDB / socialdb.xyz . - Domain created 46 days ago. - Claims to have 14K sponsors (and 956K influencers). - Hidden registrar (lists an apartment building on-site). - ScamAdvisor Warning + Gridinsoft Warning.

Hey @hankgreen.bsky.social can we call this a shooting star run or something. And give a point bonus? ๐Ÿ˜…

I'm not endorsing piracy, but it sure seems like the only way to 'own' digital media is through piracy. There's no way to purchase digital media without a revocable license. Yeah yeah I'm aware a physical copy is also just a license but the studio isn't taking away my BluRays.

Had to call 911 this evening and was concerned when the call didn't show up in my call log. Turns out that's by design for privacy. It can prevent an abuser from seeing that 911 was called. I think that's a great design.

Watched Project Hail Mary for the 2nd time the other day. Enjoyed it even more. It's absolutely in my top 5 favorite movies, maybe even top 3. I can't wait for it to release on 4K Blu-Ray. I picked up a Panasonic UB820 (4k BD player) for the home theater and 4K BDs looks SO GOOD on it!

The SpaceX IPO is just a way for individuals to pump and dump stock from a company that lost $5 billion last year. It furthers the extreme wealth inequality in America. Musk is now a trillionare and the richest super villain on the planet. Meanwhile I just want healthcare.

Thank you for 11 years of service and nearly 8 years of power on time. This is only the 2nd of 8 drives I bought 11 years ago to have failed for my home NAS. The other 6 are still working with zero errors.

Dropping big tech is a priority for me this year. Today I accomplished a huge goal: drop Google Photos. I've finished building my #Immich server. It offers all the features I need from Google Photos, allows me to keep my data private, and removes another monthly subscription. ๐Ÿ‘
