Salt Lake City has the widest roads of any major US city. They were originally built to such a width so that farmers could turn their cattle without “resorting to profanity”.

Maybe I’d believe more in religion if it wasn’t so fuckin hard to turn around these fuckin oxen. And if Mormons weren’t bootlickers fighting on the wrong side of the war on drug ignorance; war for self medication and responsibility regardless of medication; war for freedom.

The Irish word for a road is bóthar. ‘Bó’ is the Irish for ‘cow’ and ‘thar’ means ‘across’. I remember reading somewhere that a road in Ireland literally meant it was wide enough to have a cow standing crossways.
