My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

I kinda wanna go on an adventure. A little quest. Hiking through the wilderness, visiting small villages, maybe fending off goblins occasionally... ...and then I remember that I am old and tired and sad. Ugh.

Sigh. Dark doldrums of the night. The brain weasels are... not scampering exactly, not energetic enough for that. Restless squirming, maybe. Ugh.
