I know in the grand scheme of things AIs destruction of the skills market is catastrophically bad but I can't help feel a small amount of schadenfreude seeing the same tech people who told artists worried about their future 'learn to code' four years ago suffering the same fate now as we did then.

I've had a couple of friends and acquaintances talk to me recently and they're very frustrated and upset that the things *they* care about and enjoy are being affected and I must say finding the sympathy is difficult when I remember two years of 'art isn't actually a real job' etc etc etc
