As ever, I think you overindex a *little* much on what you see on bsky.app (which, fair cop, I do that too when I'm depressed--just ask my wife). But yes, there is some truth to the fact that a lot of leftist trans women who should know better refuse to see this.

Also why I wrinkle my nose a bit at the way the Institut book burnings have been cast as "they came for trans people first." No they didn't. That isn't true. They came for trans people as *part* of their crusade against Jews. They were one and the same to the Nazis.

This is why the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft was actually targeted (Magnus Hirschfeld was Jewish). That far-right tradition continues today, with many among this neo-fascist wave across the world believing queer people--and *especially* trans people--are products of a Jewish conspiracy.

That's the throughline in the bigot's post that ties together a lot of transphobia you're all likely more familiar with to this older story. It adds the triple parentheses, e.g., (((Big Pharma))) is feminising and sterilising the "white race" and addicting them to "sex-change hormones" et cetera.

The "sterilization" rhetoric from TERFs hasn't gone unnoticed
