Here at the end of my Fukuyama arc is, at last, my review of his memoir. I pull the red thread of anxiety that runs through all of Fukuyama's thought: his fear of contravening Nature. In particular, I refute the transphobia of that perspective, and argue that overcoming Nature makes us human.

Really good piece. As near as I can put together from his newsletters, Fukuyama was deeply aggrieved by having to attend Stanford's anti-harassment training, spending years trying to refute it by shoehorning transphobia into his philosophical framework. A very frustrating arc to watch.
