I keep hearing today that Manchester United are the biggest club in the world. I would beg to differ. Seems to me that there are a lot of people living in the past, on the fumes of previous glories. You can't rebuild anything if you don't recognise where you are. No delusion, just realism.

as fans,u never stop believing - god, i remember us signing paul stewart from spurs in 93 and thinking he could be the missing piece! however, u need to be realistic too. the people in charge of the clubs need to deffo be realistic. anyway, long may their mess continue!

It will take them at least another decade before they are a semblance of a challenging club again. I just despair at the attitude of some of those in the media connected with them - from Goldbridge "this is Bournemouth", to Neville, "this is the biggest club in the world"-

- I think it is symptomatic of a delusion as to the current status of their club. Seems to me that an acceptance that they are, perhaps, a club that has fallen into disrepair; a trophy that has significantly lost its luster requiring a patient and careful restoration would be of greater benefit-

-but that needs new ownership, a different board of directors, a new strategy and an executive team that actually understands what they are doing. I don't see that happening anytime soon. So, keep hiring and firing coaches lads - you might get somewhere eventually.
