I tried really hard to get family, friends & colleagues to use Signal for quite a while back when WhatsApp did some unfavourable change to the Ts & Cs. It's so baked in to every day life by now it feels almost impossible to get non-tech-minded people to make the jump.

I paid them and got a cool temporary profile sticker. Liked it so much I started paying them monthly for an even cooler sticker. Good org.

To be fair, if anything that proves it's safe unless your Sec. Def. is dumb enough to invite a whole-ass newspaper editor to the group - or texts in clear view of telephoto lenses.

Ah, that sucks.

Last I heard he got exiled from Russia, but I haven't been following that news for a few years. Fair enough.
