Several years ago I genuinely tried to start a group to do exactly this in the Green Party. Everyone was too "nice" to do any of the missions. Many said it felt icky to them 🤷‍♂️ Maybe worth revisiting now that the consequences of not doing so are obvious.

For GMC Jam 60 I had an idea for a silly little top down exploration game where you have to chase around sentient eggs and smash them with a hammer, but they are very good at running away from you and avoiding obstacles. #GameDev #IndieDev

Stuff like this really brings out my libertarian tendencies. I loathe this behaviour as much as the next person – but not sure I think headphone police fining people more than they get fined for far more serious offences is the answer.

Also I cannot stress enough here the go fuck yourselves part, because the staff did not even apologise or try to help us in any way whatsoever with finding a new room for the night. They could not have given the slightest shit lol.

Yesterday our hotel tried to take payment like 1 hour before we arrived and it declined (probably a bank security thing) so they just gave our room away to someone else - the LAST ROOM IN THE HOTEL - and when we arrived at 8.30pm with our BABY we were basically told to go fuck ourselves.

PSA about booking hotels: never book any hotel on booking.com whose payment method is "give Booking your card details and the hotel will attempt to take payment at some random undisclosed future date" - ALWAYS pick hotels that either take the payment instantly, or when you check in / out.

Booking's customer support said pretty much the same thing. Our fault the card declined, hotel is under no obligation to keep our room blah blah. We booked it weeks ago, if they had tried payment earlier and contacted us to say it failed we obviously would have arranged something else.

Luckily we managed to squeeze into another hotel about an hour later with our very tired baby - but I won't be booking any hotels in future that can't guarantee the stay the moment you book. Hence this PSA!

Just over 10 years ago I made this tiny game called Gyro Boss where you dodge wacky weapons on a fixed circle. It got 200k+ downloads and to this day it's the only game where I get random people come to me and say "I used to love this game!!" I wanted to do something for its anniversary...
