Then pushes the concept of a 50 year mortgage, it's not enough that our children & grandchildren will be forever paying down 47's federal debt, now they can also pay for grandma's house
They will, but not as low as they were before. They will then rise again to what they are now, because industry now knows what people are willing to pay.
Eh, I kinda stopped seeing it that way, especially if prices go up at every shop, because if you don't have options to shop elsewhere then it;'s not what you're willing to pay, it's what you have to pay or go without, such as for food.
The tariffs are dropping on things that are not necessities. You don't need bananas or coffee. You want them and are willing to pay. Anyway, it's just semantics. People will pay what they have to , to get what they want/need. If they can't, they will do without, and there will be consequences.
Chocolate rations were 30...
But, without anyone knowing they were lowered to 20.
And the doubleplusgood announcement was that the rations were raising to 25. Everyone cheered for more!
Well, Texas Paul you have explained the tariffs impact on inflation and consumer costs in very basic terms. Still only giving this guy a ten percent chance of getting it.
It's not about being stupid. Cult is brainwashed... Their brains will always spin it in his defense even as he starves them, kills them, rapes their children.
Increase costs for consumers and businesses that rely on imported materials.
Tariffs help specific industries but generally raise prices and distort markets.
Donnie-boy "basking" that he's "solving" high prices, because he eliminates the tariffs, he thinks they're going to lower prices.
At their higher prices, corporations STILL had consumers buying product.
Now with the reduction of tariffs, they will keep the high prices and make more profit.
Grocery worker here-- that does little to help. We import A LOT of aluminum. Aluminum and steel have 50% tariffs to "protect our industry" So soft drinks and anything with canned as gone up. Most flowers are from South America-they have gone up $2-5 dollars. 1
Also, anything in a plastic container has gone up. We make our plastic containers here. BUT we import a lot of the raw materials to make the bags and containers to store our food. So look at your carts and add .25-1.00 for each container, each Styrofoam tray, each bag---that's tariffs.
There should have never been a question of whether tariffs are a tax on the American people. GOOGLE IT PEOPLE! YOU BELIEVE A CON-MAN ? JUST FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE!
He’s compulsive liar and is only in this game for himself. While we take items out of our grocery cart because we can’t afford them.
