Talarico looks like he should win comfortably. I still wouldn't bet against Abbott, but in my 12 years here in Texas I have never before thought a Democrat had a real chance to win a statewide race. If trends continue, Hinojosa may very well win.

Lived here my entire life. The first time I was eligible to vote was the last time a non-GOP candidate won a statewide race. I thought Cruz was a bad enough candidate that Beto could beat him. I thought he was bad enough that Allred could beat him. Paxton is the embodiment of Cruz's bad vibes.
