Docx to Markdown Converter for Power Users claims your file never leaves your device. Don't trust me. Test it. Here's the quick privacy check I'd run on any converter. 🧵

Typical online converter: you pick a file, the browser uploads it, a server converts it, you download the result. Three places it can go wrong: in transit, at rest, in use.

A client-side tool deletes the server step. The browser reads the file, JavaScript converts it, the result downloads. No upload request, so nothing to intercept or store.

Test step 1: Open DevTools (F12) and click the Network tab. Test step 2: Clear the log. Now the page is quiet and you can see every request it makes.

Test step 3: Drop in a harmless test .docx. Watch the log. A client-side tool shouldn't send any request carrying your document. If it does, that's your answer.

Test step 4: After the page loads, switch the browser offline and convert again. The Docx to Markdown Converter for Power Users still works offline, because nothing needs a server.
