Rising US casualties in the conflict with Iran could challenge President Donald Trump's ability to maintain political support for the war, Jonathan Panikoff, Director of the Scowcroft Middle East Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council, said

UPDATE: Kuwaiti air defenses mistakenly shot down three US F15 fighter jets flying in Iran-related operations, the US military said. All six aircrew ejected safely, have been safely recovered, and are in stable condition reut.rs/3MRajYO

Do we really expect this Dept of War to look after our military in a competent fashion??!! Look at what happened near El Paso - TWICE!! Call Congress & tell them we’re sick of the INCOMPETENCE & LAWLESSNESS!! This regime is the real fraud waste & abuse!! #5calls Support a free press more than ever.

Trump put idiots in charge of the DOD and they have been driving out many of the qualified and competent people. Will Iran be our Ukraine? Will this conflict continue to spread all over the world? Is this the "holy war" that Hegseth and crusader tattoo gang has wanted for decades?

That feels like a Good-Bad-Bad news story..Good that they are safe, Bad that there was insufficient air control communication to allow them to be wrongly targeted and Bad that they are so susceptible to being shot down by Air Defence systems - are US pilots too used to operating in air dominance?

No, Americans are too propagandized about the capabilities of their military. The US hasn't been in such operations against a competent adversary in many generations. Arguably since the Korean war.

To be fair, the first task is to establish dominance, which obviously would not have been done here. And obviously weren't on guard in theoretically friendly skies. 🤷

Glad the pilots are safe. Each F15-E costs at least $100 million. Question for the day: How much healthcare could be provided to taxpayers for the cost of 3 fighter jets?

For the Primaries tomorrow and the Midterms in November, young American men aged 18 to 26 must know that effective on Dec 2026, they will all be automatically registered for the draft in accordance with its provision which was quietly added to the NDAA Defense Bill signed recently into law by Trump.

share.googleAutomatic draft registration, recruiting tweaks included in NDAAYoung men are set to be automatically registered for the draft under the compromise National Defense Authorization Act unveiled Sunday night.

My sweet summer child, there‘s not going to be a “normal” midterm election this year. There will be at least an attempt to use any one of several of disasters of their own creation to justify emergency powers. Whether successful or not, it’s going to be a mess.

The price of oil and gas jumped when markets opened on March 2 as the war widened across the Middle East. Oil supplies have already been disrupted as tanker operators fear attacks in the Gulf, but as Elena Casas explains, the real fear is that bombing could hit critical infrastructure
