After literally years of pivoting my friend and I are finally launching cropguide.io 🚢 We offer a free tier with up to 100 edited images per month. During the ProductHunt launch (is that still a thing?) we offer a 50% discount code on the paid tiers. www.producthunt.com/products/cro...

ProductHunt launches is still very much a thing! Cool product too. I notice that most of the things you release have a pricing tier. How's that working out for you these days? I have yet to make this jump, soon tho hopefully!

It's all fun and games to release everything for free but at the end of the day I have to feed my family. Pintura and CropGuide are paid products, all my other products are free, and the income from Pintura allows me to keep working on them :)

Pintura is a client-side product so it gets scooped up by LLMs, so people can now generate their own image editors (I know it's not just Pintura in there). Google refers less and less traffic to my blog, instead they just present my content as their own. So yea, sales are 📉

But despite all of the above I'd definitely make that jump! There's nothing like people willing to pay for something you created. When that first happened with my iOS game I knew there was no going back :)

Yes, must be! I see this everywhere: people who sell something once usually keep selling more things. I know I'll never experience it if I never try, so I just gotta try!
