lot of traction from my respectable anti-ai mutuals. heads up that this was made with an ai app builder.

op i get you're well-meaning but a lot of the artists you're trying to help are not into this kind of thing.

I understand, thats why i made it free, im admittedly too stupid to code a website from scratch and too impatient to sit through a freecodecamp lesson (but im trying to now slowly!) But its there for whoever needs it, and i dont plan to monetize it

i sat for a long time thinking about how to respond to this because it upset me in a certain way that i did not want to risk miscommunication by spitting something out in the heat of the moment.

i will open by very bluntly saying that i simply do not care how stupid or impatient you think you are. my point was not and is not "you are smarter than this, you should have more patience than this," because the reality is there are more options than "do it yourself or use AI."

it just goes against everything we stand for. you have to see that right? hell man, people on twitter are replying"it's great to see artists realizing the actual benefit of AI" among other incredibly ironic things.

i want to believe that as a fellow artist you understand the importance of staying consistent with our ethics here, of having solidarity with other creatives—or "other skilled humans" if you happen to believe that coding isn't a creative activity.

i type all this because when you say "i understand," i didn't actually believe you understood. there is a strong cognitive dissonance here and you need to think hard about what all of this says about the current discourse around AI.
