meet loretta. one of our first ducks and the only still with us from our original three. she molts whenever the hell she wants, and reminds me it’s time when it’s time.

this is roux. she’s the sweetest dog on the planet and has never had enough adventure. she reminds me everything can be exciting. but napping hard is ok too.

this isn’t an animal, obviously, but check out this pepper plant! it was a branch that broke off one in our garden last summer. on a whim, we put it in our aquaponic system and it rooted and now it’s producing real life peppers! who knew?
