In 1989, the American aircraft carrier USS Enterprise departed Alameda, California, deployed to the Indian Ocean for six months, and then continued to the west by steaming around the southern tip of Africa. Her destination was Norfolk, Virginia to prepare her for refueling.

It was topnotch!
