1. The Serbian Election: The beginning of the shift to Real Democracy The Serbian students' movement move to putting up figures from civilian society in the election points to a fundamental shift away from political parties controlling who stands in elections.

2. However, this development to real democracy can only be consolidated by: 1. Popular assemblies choosing candidates not just the student class. 2. These assemblies setting the policies, rather than having candidates get corrupted and compromised by power.

3. Legally binding citizens' assemblies selected by sortition (randomly from the population) whose decisions will give political legitimacy to the reduction in "living standards" needed to deal with the collapsing biosphere as it in turn leads to economic collapse.

4. 4. A street movement that understands that democracy based upon voting systems and political parties does not stop fascism but rather enables it, by being what it always was and always will be -

4 (cont) .. - not real democracy but a form of oligarchy that enables interests of the few (the rich) to dominate the political process.

5. This oligarchical political party system and the administrative liberal/"left" class that supports it have no answers to the crises we face, as shown by the past 40 years of failure to control the power of the rich to destroy the basis of life on this planet.

6. The results of this catastrophe will only continue to boost fascistic parties which promise "order" in response to the chaos that liberal elites have falied to prevent.
