Found a conventional use for atproto (replacing high school state associations/athletic conference/school sports websites) the other day and built a spec because I couldn't help myself. it's live but I'll share a blog post about it before sharing

i wanted something where nobody on the front end would know or care what standard.site is or the atmosphere and yet, the benefits flow through. there's no real money in this space but it's the kind of good example that has dividends and eyeballs attached. Lots of them exist

because it's me, rather than use a real state, I spec'd out a fictional state with a few hundred high schools and 7 classifications/conferences/cities. can't resist worldbuilding. going back to the beach.

I love this! I was thinking about a branding project around doing identities for companies small and large in a shared fictional world.

my fictional state of Jefferson was a lot more expansive than the "real" one, I took parts of Southern Oregon, Northern California, Nevada and Idaho to make mine. I'll spare the lore, but the high schools, mascots and city names are all very intentionally designed.
