I don't know all the reasons or justifications here, but from my perspective this comes off as โ€ข at best, negligent โ€ข at not-best, disingenuous โ€ข at worst, straight up petty.

Vite is an absolute titan in the React community. I refuse to believe the React team is so obtuse that they can't see that this is a real problem, or arrogant enough to believe that they can, through sheer force of will, dictate that people learn react through a framework.

For veterans, you're just annoying people who need to answer the question "How the f do I get started with React again?" inevitably leading to the same conclusion, but it's even worse because those veterans start telling all their newb friends and mentees to "Stay away from React, it's too complex"

And then the snowball starts rolling down the hill. The amount of times I've heard "React is too messy/complicated/hard" and similar in various forms of WebDev media (social / podcasts / YT / etc) has been steadily increasing over the last few years. It doesn't have to be this way.

I feel like there is a missed learning opportunity from when everybody a few years ago wondered where React ends and Next.js starts, that is still not reflected in the docs.
