I don't know if I had a following. What I had was 17 years of content and thoughts and ideas and interaction. And the moment I saw that salute on inauguration day was the moment I realized none of it was important enough to stay. Deleted my account within minutes. Never looked back.

I left x despite having a large following bc I don’t want to make free content for the world’s wealthiest racist. It’s not worth it to me.

The thing I wrestle with is granting grace to some people that I have historically respected that still interact on that platform. The mental gymnastics are tiring. I don't expect anybody to be 100% ahypocritical, myself included. But man... it's a tough line to walk.
