AEW's Tony Khan has notably paid for some incredibly expensive medical issues involving his talents...including the current medical bills for former wrestler, Rebel...who has terminal ALS. Y'all really just be saying shit.

He also paid for Will Ospreay's neck surgery, in which case...Will was quoted saying "I saw the bill, and it was more than what my house is worth."

This piece is deeply flawed and grossly misleading. At best, you’re misguided and driven by poor research…at worst, you’re blatantly committing libel to capitalize on a tragedy.

This article is an absolute disservice to actual serious issues in pro-wrestling. Do better

No, but CM Punk - WHO SUED WWE AND ITS PHYSICIAN FOR (SUPPOSEDLY, BECAUSE HE IS A LIAR AND A HYPOCRITE) LETTING HIM WRESTLE WITH A STAPH INFECTION - says that AEW's handling of wrestler injuries is problematic. Funny that this only cites current WWE talent. This is a hit piece.

Clownish behavior. I cant believe this was allowed to be published. I assume no standards over there?

This is the entirety of evidence that @salon.com had to blame AEW for the death of PAC: "Stars like CM Punk and Ray Fenix have complained loudly about the way the promotion handles wrestler health." Every other example of neglect cited happened in WWF/E. A total hit piece on pro wrestling.

Hey, so your article is irresponsible dogshit slop and you should apologize for it. bsky.app/profile/andr...

"AEW...has seen an astounding number of early deaths in its seven years of existence." That number is four, one of whom wasn't under contract to the promotion at the time, one of whom died of a car accident, and one of whom died of pulmonary fibrosis. www.salon.com/2026/10/02/a...

Unlike Dave Meltzer and AEW, WWE literally pays and/or buys media outlets to do their bidding. Are you one of them? If not, how can you live with yourself by making assumptions about the death of a beloved wrestler who is being mourned by his family and friends? I hope your soul was expensive.

hey assholes wanna print a correction or retract this whole piece of garbage now that it’s been confirmed that he died tragically of natural causes from bronchial asthma

the best time to delete this was before posting it the second best time is now this piece slanders AEW for simply no reason and assigns the company blame for things that they had no control over or happened well outside their historical bounds

PAC died of an asthma attack. Brodie Lee, who AEW paid the medical bills of, died from Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and was dead within 2 months of getting sick. Jay Briscoe died in a car accident. And the Butcher, who hadn't wrestled for AEW in a year, went into cardiac arrest.

and you got folks quote tweeting this like it's some kind of "gotcha" on AEW. newflash: it's not. it's written by someone who either has no clue how wrestling is, hates wrestling or a combination of both. i hope you get sued for this.

I don't know what metrics you're using to defend the statement "AEW, likewise, has seen an astounding number of early deaths in its seven years of existence.", but please cite some sources or stop pushing an asinine assertion as fact.
