Hello to all the new followers via retro Starter Packs! My main #retrocomputing passion is for the #SAMCoupe, a British #Z80 based home computer released in December 1989 - It's over 33 years I've been developing for it! Since 2020 I've also made hardware for #ZXSpectrum and #RC2014 & compatibles.

I started off the same way following its development and release, and the many pitfalls along the way, in the likes of Your Sinclair and Crash magazines. It wasn't until 1993 I was able to afford to buy one - ideal use of my student grant at the time! (SAM was on sale right up to the start of

1999). I immediately jumped into programming on it, with my first BASIC game appearing on a disk magazine a few weeks later. A few more programs followed then in 1995 my first hardware release - the Quazar Surround soundcard. The rest is history and here I am still developing for it!

In the works... issue 27 of SAM Revival, plus my huge project for a new SAM using the original custom ASIC chips I have. I'm occasionally asked about supporting what I do. I don't do Kofi or the likes, but perhaps try an issue of SAM Revival or grab a SAM keyring? 😜 www.samcoupe.com/quickshop.htm

It always gets me recharged to push forward with my projects after reading each mag and I have some interesting ones in the back of my mind after I've finished the next one

I've just bought a white spectrum keyring to go with my little collection I really must fish out my original Sam badge to go with them from Samco
