Heheh, those are very cute! Be good to read those posts if you get time. I never had IF2 back-in-the-day actually, nor heard of the cartridges. We did have a RAMTurbo interface, but the cost-reduced one without a cart slot: just a mysterious hatch in the top with no purpose! I use a Quazar one now:

Recently I’ve been building custom ROM code for SAM/Spectrum, ie squeezing music, font, graphic into 16K. Quite different approach: no system routines, but you can use IM1 and RSTs for whatever you want; no self-modifying code but you can compress routines and unpack into RAM etc., loadsa fun! #Z80

Agree regarding Multipack 1. I never figured out how the heck to play Futureball and SAM Strikes Out was lackluster. The review of Mind Games 1 is bang on, poor BASIC games. By the time I bought my first #SAMCoupe the game scene was a lot, lot better! Everything I do for SAM -> www.samcoupe.com

The fun of #ZXSpectrum magazine covertapes. I found a small selection in a charity shop this week. There were a few I'd have been interested in to fill some gaps but the tape in every cassette there showed signs of mould.

Oddly, the player character of GODS appeared in a demo to illustrate walking sprites that was included as part of GamesMaster (a game creator utility) on the SAM Coupe in 1992! #samcoupe #amiga #atarist
