Hmm I wonder who’s the problem here

Jason Koebler@jasonkoebler.bsky.social

this is happening because big tech customer support basically doesn't exist and desperate people are asking ChatGPT what to do. ChatGPT is sending them to journalists

Tbc I have Jason’s exact professional problem and it’s ruining my life (my problem is maybe worse than his due to my own professional obligations) but how many of these accounts did ChatGPT suspend? Was it zero?

Yeah, as someone who has had some peripheral interaction with Facebook's verification for political ads, dealing with their customer service is a nightmare. It's intolerable given how large they loom in advertising.

The biggest bottleneck is usually document matching—your ad account name, business registration, and ID must match exactly or it loops back to manual review. Check that first and resubmit; it resolves more stalls than people expect.

Yeah it frankly ought to be a scandal how they handle monopolizing some critical societal infrastructure. Also “find a celebrity or connected person to complain to” has been one of the only things that has restored some accounts! That’s why ChatGPT is suggesting it, it’s not crazy that it is
