I just woke up and thought it ment actual cows. Heard some cows lowing while walking on the nature trail last night.

Just looked up that term as I’ve never heard of it before

I'm kind of jealous you haven't heard of this word before. I'm familiar with it thanks to growing up alongside the kind of people who would gawk at others online, and it slowly dawned at me that the people doing and especially promoting the gawking, were the terrible ones.
