Marvelling at all the software I used to use to create music in the past and wondering what happened to so many of these inspiring apps? Some are still around but most...well, simply slipped away?

RTGS was great. Going back even farther, I'm also still keeping SheepShaver around to run OS9 for the sonicWORX Power Bundle and very old VSTs like Prosoniq NorthPole.

I found some CDs recently that I backed up all my old software and plugins too, like Syntrillium's Cool Edit (before Adobe nicked it for Audition) and the Orange Vocoder VST.

I used to use that Orange Vocoder VST too!

I love SoundMaker, and still haven’t found a modern alternative like it. If I’m in that clocks and cuts mood I’ve got an old iBook with OS9 specifically for SoundMaker.
