My half sister told me that Europe is suffering because they don't have AC because they believe in global warming. They cannot see the logic.

AC use accelerates global warming.

Europe has been without AC forever. For that reason (and many others), they contribute less to global warming than we do. I would not deny them the comfort of AC, but I recognize that it might be problematic for all of Europe to acquire AC in time for this summer.

Framing it as a matter of comfort is missing the point. People are dying. Even a few communal cooling areas equipped with A/C could help with that.
